KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Prabin Shakya of London Snooker House on Monday claimed the title of the First Open Snooker Championship in the capital.
Prabin of London Snooker House overcame Niraj Sinkhwal of Active Snooker House 6-5 in the final.
Prabin bagged a purse of Rs 50,000 as champion and Niraj walked home with Rs 20,000.
Som Lama of Action Snooker House won the title of best breaker award.
He had scored 72 points in break and received Rs 10,000 for his feat.
Former national champion Saroj Mulmi among others distributed prizes to the winners.
The eight-day event organized by SB Snooker and Plus saw participation of 51 players.
