KATHMANDU, Dec 3: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted 21 construction companies for failing to complete work as per their contracts. Of these, 15 companies have been blacklisted for one year, two companies for two years each, two companies for two-and-a-half years, and one company each for one-and-a-half years and three years.
Nava Durga Builders, located in Jorpati and operated by Shiva Prasad Dangal, has been blacklisted for three years, preventing its participation in public procurement activities. The Shankharapur Municipality Office recommended blacklisting the company.
Sapan Shailung JV has been blacklisted for two years and six months based on the recommendation of the Federal Road Supervision and Monitoring Office in Chaurjahari, Rukum West, under the Department of Roads. This joint venture includes Sapan Construction from Hetauda and Shailung Construction from Dholahiti, Lalitpur. Sapan Construction is owned by Hariprasad Dhakal, while Shailung Construction is owned by Sharada Prasad Adhikari.
PPMO blacklists 22 firms, including 19 construction companies
The companies that have been penalized for two years include Tenim Multipurpose Company from Musikot, Rukum West, and KR Construction from Kohalpur, Banke. KR Construction was blacklisted based on a letter sent by Nepal Rastra Bank.
Khadgadevi Construction from Bandipur, Tanahun, has been blacklisted for one year and six months. The company was penalized based on a recommendation from Bhanu Municipality in Tanahu, and the PPMO imposed the action.
The companies blacklisted for one year include Tapt Construction Service, Purn Construction Service, IA Construction from Birendranagar, Surkhet, Hardik Construction, Jisan Traders & Order Suppliers, Sabina General & Order Suppliers from Banke, Yas Keshari Construction from Humla, SK Construction Service, Travelers Crew Construction from Kavre, and Unique Construction Service from Khotang.
Other companies penalized for one year are Universal Trade & Technology Pvt Ltd from Kalikasthan, Kathmandu, GC Construction from Kaski, Mahima Construction from Bardiya, and Jayaswal Construction from Dhanusha.
