PPL winner to bag Rs 2.7 million

KATHMANDU, Oct 25: The prize money of the Pokhara Premier League, which will kick off from Friday in Pokhara, has been announced on Wednesday. 


The winner of the tournament, which is going to be organized by the Queen’s Events Private Limited, will be rewarded with Rs 2.7 million. This prize money is the highest in any cricket tournament of Nepal. 


Managing director of the tournament Chhumbi Lama informed that all the preparations of the tournament have been completed. Main sponsor of the event is Namaste Premier Lager Beer.

“We had announced to organize the tournament with the highest prize money in the tourist city of Pokhara. The prize money of Rs 2.7 million is the highest in the domestic cricket tournament,” Lama said. 


Likewise, the runner-up of the tournament will bag a cash prize of Rs 1 million. It was also announced that the man of the series, the best batsman and the best bowler will get a Suzuki Gixxer 155 CC motorbike each. 


The winner of every match will also receive Rs 15,500 from Reliance Cement as winning bonus. 


The tournament which will be participated by the franchise teams of six different cities will run till November 6.
