According to officials of Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) - the organizer of the event, companies dealing on power solutions are offering attractive discounts at the Info-Tech.[break]
S Power BPE has introduced hybrid solar inverter from Fortuners brand. The inverter with LCD display has radio and torchlight supports music playback through SD card. “We are selling Fortuners 50VA inverter, which is originally priced at Rs 7,500, at just Rs 6,500,” said Murari Mohan Jha, manager of S Power BPE.
The company provides one year warranty on inverters.
Besides, S Power BPE has offered 20 percent discount on UPS for home and corporate use. It is selling 40W UPS for home use that can light 7 to 8 CFL bulbs for Rs 20,000. Likewise, it has priced 80W UPS with solar panel at Rs 25,500.
The company also sells online UPS with capacity ranging from 1 KVA to 400 KVA. The price of these products starts from Rs 35,000. S Power BPE provides two-year warranty on online UPS.
Hulas Power -- a subsidiary of Golchha Group - has introduced batteries for solar system. The batteries are available in capacity ranging from 2V to 12V and priced between Rs 7,000 and Rs 38,000. “We are providing 30 percent discount on Hulas Exide batteries and 50 percent discount on inverters,” said Shiva Raj Karki, sales officer of Hulas Power.
Star Office International has introduced combo offer in Sukam battery and UPS. The company is offering 40 percent discount on the combo pack. The combo pack includes battery and UPS of varied capacity depending on the need of customers. The company is providing 80W solar panel free with the pack at the Info-Tech.
Meanwhile, Star Office International has introduced world´s first Brainy Solar UPS. Labin Shahi, service engineer of the company, said Brainy UPS is Sukam´s solution to harvest solar energy.
EPIC Computer Traders has announced special rates for Luminous Inverters and Exide batteries at the Info-Tech. Kapil Babu Pant, proprietor of the company, said customers will get inverters with capacity ranging from 325 VA to 6,000 VA. The inverters without battery is available in price range of Rs 7,500 to Rs 110,000, said Pant.
Akshay Power Devices (APD) has also announced special rates for Kirloskar Green generators and UPS and inverters from APD.
Similarly, iLight introduced by Idea Solar is one of the major attractions at the Info-Tech. The locally made iLight is torchlight with FM radio and clock (with alarm) that supports mobile charging. It can be charged from both solar power and electricity. “The device is dust and water proof,” said Suraj Acharya, an engineer wit Idea Solar.
The device, which is originally priced Rs 3,100, is available at the Info-Tech for just Rs 2,700.
