KATHMANDU, Nov 6: The intensity of cold has increased across the country as opposed to last year, with the atmosphere effects being the main reason, said the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The atmosphere has been polluted by dust particles, leading to the increasing chill, said meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal.

Kathmandu valley recorded minimum 8.4 degree Celsius on November 5 this year against 10 degree Celsius the same day last year.

Likewise, the valley has recorded minimum 9.4 degree Celsius on Sunday.

"There is fluctuation in temperature due to the seasonal effects," Aryal said. RSS
