Polling centers being fixed

KHOTANG, March 11: District Election Office of Khotang district has begun an initial consultation with the concerned stakeholders to review polling stations and  centers in view of the local polls scheduled to be held on May 14.

KHOTANG, March 11: District Election Office of Khotang district has begun an initial consultation with the concerned stakeholders to review polling stations and  centers in view of the local polls scheduled to be held on May 14.



Polling Center Review Committee(PCRC) coordinated by Chief District Officer has held an initial discussions with the concerned stakeholders.

Discussions were held among the concerned stakeholders representing various political parties, district court and district security forces , said District Election Officer Dinesh Khatri


There are132 polling stations and 176 polling centers under the old local administrative structure, which is going to be repealed from Sunday. According to Khatri, some of the old polling stations and polling centers will remain unchanged and some new stations and centers will be added.


According to the legal provision, the Election Commission (EC) will endorse the recommendation on the number of polling stations and centers made by Polling Centre Review Committee (PCRC) coordinated by Chief District Officer.
