He also made it clear that the incumbent government would step down only after the parties reach a deal in package on issues, including formation of a national consensus government. "Otherwise, the new prime minister would only end up wasting his time knocking the leaders´ door for consensus."
Asked if the president would step in to end the current crisis, Gachchhadar expressed his belief that the state head would not take any measures without consent of the political parties.
“The president won’t take steps just because someone tries to incite him to do so. He has understood the situation well,” Gachchhadar, who has arrived in Sunsari to inaugurate a newly built temple at Kaptangunj of the district, said.
