KATHMANDU, July 19: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Chairperson Upendra Yadav has said that the current problem was a political one and hence the solution should be sought accordingly.

At a face-to-face program organized by the Reporters Club Nepal in the capital on Tuesday, he said that the recent problem has emerged due to constitutional ambiguity.

"The Constitution has specified a provision to elect a Prime Minister within seven days after the promulgation of the statute stating it will continue up to January 20, 2018. But at the same time the constitution has envisaged no new government until the next election", he said while pointing out unclear arrangement of the constitution.

Asserting that the current context of the incumbent government outgoing and new government in the making has created an opportunity to resolve the national problem facing the country, he suggested exploring a solution through political consensus.

He, however, reiterated his stance not to join the NC-Maoist coalition government. RSS
