KATHMANDU, Jan 26: The first national convention of police investigators and government attorneys is scheduled to start in Kathmandu from Friday.
The joint organizers --Nepal Police and Office of the Attorney General -- on Wednesday informed that the national convention is being organized to create effective coordination between the two bodies.
Attorney General Raman Kumar Shrestha informed that the convention will help minimize confusion between the two bodies during investigation and prosecution.
He also informed that the convention will review investigations and prosecutions related to criminal cases in which government is involved and will try to solve the problems.
A total of 235 investigators, 250 prosecutors, 20 supervisors and some other officials will participate in the three-day convention.
IGP Upendra Kanta Aryal said that proper coordination between police and government attorneys will help control criminal activities and this convention is also a way to enhance the relation between the two agencies.
