Six women from Gulmi, three from Ramechhap and two from Khotang districts are currently receiving training at the office. “The chief threatened transfer to a remote place instead when we complained,” a woman said. District Police Office, Tanahun has initiated action against Tamang and BK after the incident of harassment became public. However, the type of action is not known.
“Every policeman, whether in uniform or not, should face action if he is involved in misconduct. We are conducting further investigation,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Ishwari Prasad Chapagain said.
