Police, Gyanu Baba extend winning streak

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: Nepal Police Club and defending champion Gyanu Baba Higher Secondary School of Pokhara have both extended their winning streak in the Dhorpatan Blue Sky Cup Women´s Double League Volleyball on Monday.



Police defeated Tops School of Pokhara in straight sets with a score of 25-15, 25-16, 25-19 at the New Bus Park, Balaju. Gyanu Baba bounced back from a second set defeat to register a 25-16, 23-25, 25-17, 25-13 win over New Diamond Academy. [break]



Police has 14 points from seven matches while Gyanu Baba has 10 points from five matches so far.



In the other first round league matches, organized by Dhorpatan Volleyball Training Centre, Angel´s Heart and Armed Police Force won their respective matches.



Angel´s Heart saw off Chandeshwari Youth Club 25-11, 25-12, 25-8 in straight sets while APF also registered an easy win over Bijeshwari with a score of 25-7, 25-5, 25-5.
