SINDHULI, Nov 17: Police have destroyed marijuana over worth Rs 80 million in the district.

SINDHULI, Nov 17: Police have destroyed marijuana worth over Rs 80 million in the district.


Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by DSP Lokdarshan Thapa wiped out the marijuana sprawling across the area of 25 bighas of land today.

According to police, the marijuana had been planted in 21 bighas of land in Barun Bhalayo and in four bighas of Tundikhel and Bedpani of Marin Rural Municipality.


Villagers had been cultivating marijuana as professional farming since the last few years.


Police had destroyed marijuana grown at Kyaneshwar in Hariharpurgadhi around this time last year, too.
