Police constable held with drugs

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu on Saturday evening arrested a police constable, Upendra Thakur, in possession of large amounts of diazepam and other contraband from Gyaneshwar area.



Thakur, 21, hails from Parsa district and was posted at the garrison battalion at Naxal a year ago.



Police came to know that Thakur had been bringing drugs from Birgunj himself and supplying them in the Valley, Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kharel said.
