Police constable dies after falling off police van

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Assistant Head Constable Hemraj LG of Nepal Police died after falling off a police van while returning home from duty.

According to the District Police Office, Kathmandu, LG died after falling from the police vehicle with registration number BA 1 JHA 7418 while returning to his rented apartment on the outskirts of Kathmandu at 11:15 on Thursday night. The incident occurred at Satungal area while the policeman attempted to get off the vehicle.

Police have sent LG's body to TU Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj for post-mortem. The driver of the vehicle Ram Prasad Yadav has been kept in police custody.
