Police confiscate IRs 800,000

MORANG, May 11: The Armed Police Force (APF) on Monday night recovered huge cache of Indian currency.

APF found IRs 800,000 from a bag of an Indian youth heading to Biratnagar from Jogbani, India.


DSP Badri Narayan Chaudhary informed the youth made off leaving the bag during the security check, adding that the money is in the denomination of IRs 500 and IRs 1,000.

The money will be handed over to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for further action, he said.
