Protesters from Parikauli, Pipara, Sahodawa, Suga, Pigauna set ablaze the police beat. Situation remained tensed in Zeromile as they clashed with police during the arson.
Demonstrators overturned the beat and set it in on fire after sprinkling petrol.
Meanwhile, banda enforcers vandalized a motorcycle, Ja 4 Pa, 6627, for defying shutdown.
Tension has gripped Jaleshwor, the district headquarters, since early this morning.
Earlier today, fresh clashes occurred at Jaleshwor-5, Mahendra Chowk after protesters took out a rally.
Security personnel opened blank fire and lobbed four shells of teargas to maintain order. Security has been beefed up to avert any possible incident.
