Police arrest two, including manager of LOD, for allowing minor into club

KATHMANDU, July 17: The police have made two arrests, including Sahadev Sedhain, the manager of Lord of Drinks (LOD) in Thamel, Kathmandu, to investigate the incident of allowing a minor into the club. Another individual, Sapana Dhungana, who works at the counter, was also apprehended by the Kathmandu Police Range.

KATHMANDU, July 17: The police have made two arrests, including Sahadev Sedhain, the manager of Lord of Drinks (LOD) in Thamel, Kathmandu, to investigate the incident of allowing a minor into the club. Another individual, Sapana Dhungana, who works at the counter, was also apprehended by the Kathmandu Police Range.


The investigation stems from a disturbing incident where a 16-year-old girl, who gained access to LOD, was subsequently raped. Authorities are looking into how a minor was allowed to enter the club, leading to this tragic incident.

Initially, Raju Singh Suwal, the owner of LOD, and his partner, Rudil Ballabh Shrestha, were also arrested in connection with the case. However, as they were not present at the club during the incident, they were subsequently released and are expected to cooperate with the investigation when summoned.


Following the rape of the 16-year-old girl at LOD, the police have taken action against the owners of the club. 50-year-old Sudan Bahadur Koirala, who is a permanent resident of Pokhara but who currently lives in Lalitpur, hsa already been arrested on the charge of raping the girl.
