KATHMANDU, Jan 15: Police have arrested five youths with 2.6 kilograms of hashish from Godavari municipality-9 in Lalitpur on Tuesday.

According to Metropolitan Police, Bikas Kadel, 20, Bimal Thapa, 21, Prajwal Budathoki, 23, Abhiraj Budathoki, 26, and Bishal Thapa, 26, were apprehended with hashish during a raid at Jalkhu area at 5:30 pm.  

Likewise, in another incident, police arrested two persons with 1.15 kilograms of hashish from the Nagdhunga area during a regular security check. The duo were found hiding hashish in a motorbike. They have been identified as Jiwa Chhiring Sherpa, 30, of Ramechhap, and Furba Sherpa, 23, of the same place.

According to a press release issued by Metro police, the police have launched probe into the two aforementioned incidents.
