Police arrest 4 for `shooting at` CDOs` vehicle

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Police on Sunday arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in shooting at a vehicle boarded by two chief district officers (CDOs) of Pyuthan and Rolpa districts Saturday night.

According to Image Channel television, police arrested Biraj Nepali and Bijay Choudhary of Dang district, Raju Rokaya of Rukum and Yogendra Pakhrin of Nawalparasi.


A group of assailants had shot at the vehicle boarded by CDOs – Keshav Acharya (Rolpa) and Krishna Shyam Budhathoki (Pyuthan) – at Dhungegadhi or Pyuthan district. The CDOs were returning from Swargadwari, Pyuthan after attending a board meeting of Swargadwari religious site.
