Pokhara to host international lawn tennis tournament

POKHARA, Sept 9: An international lawn tennis tournament is to be held at the local Pokhara stadium from coming September 11 to 23. 

Veteran tennis players from India, Finland and hosts Nepal are competing in the event to be hosted by the Kaski district lawn tennis association with support from Nepal law tennis association and International Tennis Federation. Veteran tennis players above 35, 45 and 55 years will compete in the tournament, according to the association chair Binod Kayastha. 

Nepal is being represented by former deputy Prime Minister and RPP President Kamal Thapa, Manoj Rana, Indrajit Rai and Raju Shrestha. A total of 83 tennis players will be vying for various positions. RSS
