The entrepreneurs halted the service at Kalipul of Beni, Myagdi, expressing their qualm over operating bus-service without any prior consultation with them.
According to Suman Shrestha, Secretary of the Myagdi Jeep and Bus Operators' Committee, they will continue the obstruction in the movement of the vehicles along the road until the Transportation Entrepreneurs Committee of Mustang, Myagdi, Dhaulagiri and Prithivi Highway Bus Operators' Committee are also considered for the operation of transport service on the route.
The entrepreneurs, obstructing the road, have also demanded to adopt the rotation system in the operation of jeeps from Myagdi to Pokhara.
Claiming that they should also be allowed to operate their vehicles, the Myagdi entrepreneurs argued that due to this one-side operation of the transport from Pokhara to Jomsom, the transportation enterprises are at risk of going bankrupt. RSS
