Pokhara-Delhi Bus Service begins

POKHARA, July 11: Modern Era Tours and Travels began Pokhara-Delhi friendly bus shuttle today.


The bus service was jointly launched by Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet and Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae.

The Modern Era Travels and the Uttarpradesh Transportation Corporation of India are operating the bus service jointly.


On the occasion, Minister Basnet said it was very significant for Pokhara to have direct bus shuttle to Delhi. It would also boost the two country relations, he added.


Similarly, Ambassador Rae said with the facility of bus service between Pokhara and Delhi, the tourists visiting Pokhara would also extend their travel to other places as Muktinath and the Annupurna region which would augment tourism in Nepal.


Chairman of the Travels Keshav Prasad Adhikari said the people from various sectors are expected to draw benefits from the direct bus service to the Indian capital. RSS
