During an informal talks with the media persons on January 15, Bhattarai had used a word ´submerge´ which media had manipulated and disseminated news using only the half of the word, Poudel said in a press statement.

Without knowing the facts everyone is forming their own opinion and asking for clarification from PM Bhattarai, the statement reads.

He claimed in the statement that the PM expressed his concern over slow economic growth of Nepal in comparison to its neighboring countries India and China and that the danger of Nepal´s economy getting submerged in them is increasing.

"The word ´submerged´ has been used as ´merged´ by many media houses which completely gave different meaning," he said.

He also urged the media houses to check the facts before disseminating the news.
