KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is returning home today after completing a 10-day visit to the US. He had traveled to the US on September 20 to attend the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu at 4 PM today.
During his visit to the United States, he participated in various discussions and held high-level meetings.
PM Oli returning home after Viet Nam, Cambodia visit
On September 23, he delivered a speech on ‘Nepal's Journey of Democracy and Economic Prosperity’ at an event organized by Columbia University. On September 24, he attended the opening session of the General Assembly's general debate, and on September 25, he participated in the reception hosted by US President Joe Biden.
Similarly, on September 26, he addressed the General Assembly. On September 27, he also delivered a speech at the John F Kennedy Jr Forum at Harvard University on the topic ‘Nepal's Perspective: From Transitional Justice to Climate Justice.’
Along with Prime Minister Oli, his wife Radhika Shakya, Foreign Minister Dr Arju Rana Deuba, the Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Bishnu Rimal, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and senior officials of the Nepali government also traveled to the United States.
