KATHMANDU, Aug 1: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to leave for Turkmenistan on Sunday to attend the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which is being held in the city of Awaza.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), PM Oli is visiting Turkmenistan at the formal invitation of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and UN Secretary-General António Guterres. The conference will be held from August 5 to 8, 2025.

During the conference, Prime Minister Oli will address the gathering in his capacity as the Chair of the Global Coordination Bureau of Least Developed Countries. He will also co-chair one of the high-level roundtable sessions and deliver remarks at other various events.
On the sidelines of the conference, PM Oli is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with heads of delegations from various countries as well as senior officials from the UN and other international organizations.
Prime Minister Oli will be accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Federal Parliament member Surya Bahadur Thapa Kshetri and other senior government officials. He is scheduled to return to Nepal on August 8.
