KATHMANDU, August 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday has said that he would visit Province 2 to take stock of damages caused by floods and inundation very soon.
Speaking at the meeting with the lawmakers representing Province 2 held in Baluwatar, PM Oli told them that the government was very serious about the proper management of the victims of recent natural disasters.

PM Oli also said that the government is currently engaged in the formulation of a plan focusing on long-term solution to flood-triggered problems that hit Terai districts every year.
“The government is making a plan to ensure the long-term solution to the problems of floods and inundation,” said PM Oli adding, “Communities should be mobilized to solve these problems that beset the country every year permanently. Awareness program should also be launched to reduce the damage caused to people and property by floods and inundations.”
PM Oli assured the lawmakers of visiting the flood-hit districts in Province 2 to take stock of the damage triggered by floods in those districts in the immediate future. “I will come to Province 2 to observe the aftermath of floods along with some relief programs after some time”, said Oli.
