KATHMANDU, June 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to expand his 17-member Cabinet on Thursday afternoon.
According to Bishnu Rijal, a CPN-UML leader, seven new ministers and a minister of state will be inducted in the Oli-led Cabinet at 4PM Thursday.
Leaders close to the UML’s Oli-led faction including Ganesh Pahdai, Mohan Baniya, Naradmuni Rana and Khagraj Adhikari are likely to be sworn in as the ministers, according to sources.
Despite his capacity as the caretaker prime minister, Oli reshuffled his Cabinet on June 4. A writ petition, demanding withdrawal of the reshuffle decision, is being heard at the Supreme Court (SC).
