However, this is not the first time that a prime minister is moving in to the official residence without making any animal sacrifice.
Former prime ministers Madhav Kumar Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Baburam Bhattarai too shifted to Baluwatar without any animal sacrifice.
However, former prime ministers Girija Prasad Koirala and Jhalanath Khanal and chairman of minister's council Khil Raj Regmi offered animal sacrifice while shifting to Baluwatar.
