NEPALGUNJ, Oct 11: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Monday said that political way out would be possible before the 13th round of prime ministerial election if political parties hold serious talks and forge consensus.

Addressing a gathering of his party (CPN-UML) cadres in Nepalgunj today, he said, "If leaders stick to their stands and only eye power, consensus cannot be forged." [break]

Stating that peace process and constitution drafting is being delayed, he said that Maoist army combatants should be integrated and managed before UNMIN´s tenure expires.

On this fiscal year´s budget, he said the country´s economy has been in shambles and development works have taken a backseat due to the failure to bring budget in time.

"Only one-fourth amount of the total budget was approved by the parliament in advance budget and this budget cannot steer country´s economy. Due to absence of full-fledged budget, the government has been unable to spend eight billion rupees which is being lying idle in Nepal Rastra Bank," he said.

He also said that those parties who have been blocking budget endorsement would be known as anti-people.

Regarding the murder of two students last week in Nepalgunj, he expressed commitment to support the victim families.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister released a souvenir "Sankalpa" published by civil servants.
