KATHMANDU, March 10: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik)Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar held talks at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar this morning.

The meeting between the two leaders without any aides lasted for about an hour. The talks were centred on the contemporary political issues including the ongoing dialogue among the parties, constitution writing and the meeting of the Constituent Assembly. The talks were held in a friendly ambience.

Following his meeting with PM Koirala, MJF (L) chairman Gachchhadar said the talks have been very positive and the PM's efforts to forge consensus through dialogue would be fruitful.

Prime Minister Koirala had, on Monday, urged the all the political parties in the 30-party alliance led by the UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and their leaders to have faith that consensus could be forged through talks alone. He had also called on the opposition alliance to contribute towards the environment of dialogue, consensus and negotiation that has been created at present.

The Prime Minister has been consistently urging all the political parties for resolving the problems facing the country by formulating the new constitution through dialogue, consensus, unity and cooperation as the people wish for peace, stability, formation of a democratic constitution and development and not agitation, threats and coercion at present.
