KATHMANDU, Sep 14: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has officially assumed office of the Prime Minister.
Karki, who was appointed as the Prime Minister of the interim government on Friday, following the Gen Z protest took charge of the office this morning at Singha Durbar.

Her office has been placed at the newly built Home Ministry after the major building of the Singha Durbar that housed the PMO was completely set ablaze during the 9 September protest of the Gen Z.
Earlier in the day, she visited the Martyrs' Memorial in Lainchaur and to the Sahid Gate in Sundhara paying homage to all martyrs and offered a garland in tribute.
The new PM is likely to appoint new ministers in her cabinet today.
