PM instructs NRA to expedite reconstruction work

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: Prime Minister KP Oli, on Monday, instructed the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) to expedite its work to ensure that the reconstruction work is completed within the next two years.

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: Prime Minister KP Oli, on Monday, instructed the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) to expedite its work to ensure that the reconstruction work is completed within the next two years.


Speaking at the advisory council meeting of the NRA at the prime minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, the prime minister called for effective planning and expedition of work by the reconstruction body in order to meet the deadline. The five-year term of the NRA, which started with its formation on December 25, 2015, will end in two years.

Oli also claimed that the post-earthquake work nationwide will be completed within the next two years if there are no obstructions.


Mentioning the obstruction caused in the reconstruction of Rani Pokhari and Dharahara, Oli claimed that the entire picture of reconstruction cannot be deduced from a few bad examples.
