KATHMANDU, May 20: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is seeking a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives amidst protests from opposition parties, including the Nepali Congress.


Speaker Devraj Ghimire, who adjourned the first meeting on Monday for 15 minutes after Nepali Congress MPs chanted slogans, proceeded with the vote of confidence motion in the second session.

During the session, Prime Minister Dahal requested a vote of confidence from the rostrum while Nepali Congress and other opposition parties surrounded the well and chanted slogans.


Currently, discussions regarding the vote of confidence are ongoing in parliament.
