KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that various kinds of conspiracies are being hatched to topple the government.
Addressing the party's training program in Kathmandu on Tuesday, he said that many efforts were made to break the alliance and topple the government, but those failed miserably. He mentioned that those who are trying to overthrow the government are slowly falling in the eyes of the people. He said that the alliance is certain to last for five years if no major incident occurs. He claimed that the extremist ideas and tendencies are insolent to reverse the change through religious or ethnic means and to weaken the Maoist movement. He claimed that only the Maoists who fought for the rights of oppressed, caste and class communities can solve these problems. He asserted that only Maoists can maintain communal unity and harmony.

He said, “There are various conspiracies going on against the government at present. There are many efforts to bring down the government and break this alliance. But I don’t see any attempts to be successful. The greater force they exert, the more they fall in the eyes of the people. We will have another five years of alliance, that's what I see, so far. If nothing big happens, we will continue to bring this campaign to success. There have been attempts to reverse this change and weaken the Maoist movement through extremist ideas and trends, whether religious or ethnic. We are sensitive to that. Only the Maoist who fought for the rights of oppressed, caste and class communities can solve these problems. This is a historic opportunity for us to prove. Only we can maintain racial unity and harmony.”
PM Dahal said that if a new revolution is not started, the country will face a fatal accident. He said that he now sees the danger of reversing the change. He said that if the Maoist power was not strong, the reactionaries would attack him. He said that there were 36 cases against him during the war and now two cases have been added after he has done good work as the prime minister.
