PM asks Prez to facilitate consensus on sacking Katawal

KATHMANDU, April 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal met with President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav and urge the latter to help him garner all-party consensus on the issue of government´s action against the army chief Rookmangud Katawal.


Coming out of the president´s office Thursday afternoon, Dahal said, “I briefed the president about the progress made so far toward garnering political consensus on the issue of army chief as suggested by him.”



“I also urged him to help me bring the parties in consensus over the issue,” said the prime minister. Dahal had rushed to the president´s office immediately after the secretariat meeting of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist).
