The prime minister addressed the UN General Assembly on Saturday afternoon. He also attended a program on food security hosted jointly by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
He left New York for Doha en route to Nepal. He was seen off at the JFK airport by Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations Madhu Raman Acharya and other mission staff.
After staying in Doha for about five hours, the prime minister will leave for Nepal at 1 a.m. Qatar time. He expected to arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport at about 8.30 a.m. NST.
