Some close friends had called Chandra Bahadur Bohara and Bishnu Neupane to a nearby forest and beaten to death over some personal animosity, a police official involved in the investigation said. [break]
"Preliminary investigation shows they were not murdered by any group," the official said, adding, "Some people inside the satellite camp must have planned the murder to settle personal scores with them."
Police are now trying to track down the persons involved in the murder. "We have got some important information," Deputy Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Karki said. "The truth will be made public in a few days."
Police have interrogated the brigadier and other commanders of the satellite camps of Sainamaina. Bohara´s wife Samjhana Bohara is also being interrogated under high surveillance, the official said, adding that they are also studying the call details of Bohara and Neupane´s mobile phones.
Bohara and Neupane had been out of contact since last Wednesday afternoon after leaving the camp.
A villager grazing his cattle had informed the cantonments after seeing their bodies in the jungle.
According to the autopsy report by Lumbini Zonal Hospital, the two had died of head injuries.
