The accident took place when the van (Ko 1 Cha 8908) hit the motorbike (Ko 3 Pa 4975) on Pathari-Hasandaha road section at 9.30 pm.
Pillion rider Yam Prasad Darji, 35 of Hasandaha died in the road accident.
Critically injured Darji breathed his last at BP Koirala institute of Health Science in Dharan at 11.00 pm, confirmed Police Inspector at Pathari Area Police Office, Ramesh Basnet.
Motorbike rider Prabhu Chaudhary, 18, of the same place is also injured. He is being treated at local Pathari Hospital.
Police have taken control the van and its driver for action. RSS
