KATHMANDU, Oct 27: Physically challenged children from Disabled Newlife Center (DNC) have undertaken a trek to the Annapurna Conservation Region.

According to a press statement issued by DNC, the trek was aimed at raising awareness that physically challenged people are capable of undertaking hardest of the tasks if they are given opportunity. The statement said that seven children with their sponsors from the UK have commenced for a seven-day trek on Monday.

The fund raised from the trek will be used to finance the building project of the DNC that is under way at the Thali VDC in Gokarna.
