KATHMANDU, Sept 21: As the domestic airline operators resumed their services after a hiatus of almost six months, the domestic terminal of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu looked busy on Monday.

The aircraft of all airlines were grounded after the government decided to suspend domestic and international flights except the chartered ones to contain the spread of COVID-19 in March end.

As two major festivals -- Dashain and Tihar -- celebrated widely across Nepal are less than a month away, the government decided to resume the domestic flights. A large number of passengers were seen departing and arriving to and from Kathmandu at the domestic terminal of TIA, following all necessary health safety protocols to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
