KATHMANDU, May 26: Civil society activists staged a protest against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) at Kirtipur in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Earlier on Saturday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved the HoR and announced midterm elections for November 12 and November 19 at the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The opposition parties have filed writ petitions at the apex court demanding reinstatement of parliament.
Constitutional experts and the general public are hugely found objecting to the government move.
