KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Bishal Bazaar area in Kathmandu has been sealed off for a week starting Friday.
The areas from Juddha Statue to Indira Chowk have been sealed until August 21 after a local from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24, Shukrapath (New Road) was tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), said a notice issued by the Ward Number 24 Office of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Following the order, the business hub in the heart of the Valley, which otherwise remained usually crowded, has worn a deserted look. While all shopping outlets are closed, streets look empty as only a few people have chosen to come out of their houses.
