People suggest to remove connecting words from statute

JUMLA, July 21: People here in the district have suggested to remove the conjunctions such as 'and', 'but', 'or' from the preliminary draft of the new constitution.



They have demanded the removal of such words as these words have created a lot of confusions and double meanings as well as complexities to get the idea of the constitutional provisions.

In an feedback collection program on the draft of the new constitution organized by the constitution Information Center, participants also underscored on the need of  incorporation of provisions of Hindu state and naming and delineating the federal provinces on the basis of geographical identity.

They have further stressed on the removal of provision of reservation in the new constitution and incorporation of provision which ensures equal opportunities to all in  the state mechanism on the basis of individual talent and capacity.


They have also demanded the declaration of Karnali region as autonomous state.
