KANCHANPUR, Aug 15: People traveling from Kanchanpur to Kailali district and vice-versa are doing so at a great risk due to the lack of a bridge over the Mohana River that separates the two districts in the Far-west region of the country.

People of Geta VDC and surrounding areas in Kailali district and the Raukabarbichawa VDC and surrounding areas in Kanchanpur district use rickety boats to cross the Mohana River for lack of a bridge.

More than 100 students who have to cross the river for going to school are facing great deal of inconvenience due to the lack of a bridge, said Bharat Bahadur Chaudhari. It is especially very risky to cross the river by boats during the rainy season as the water level rises to dangerous level.
