Pemba scored 22 points on the front nine with birdies on fourth and seventh hole against bogies on second and sixth holes. On the back nine, he earned birdie on 18th hole against bogies on 14th, 16th and 17th holes for 20 points. Young Man Go, the 15th handicap golfer, scored 20 points on the front nine and added another 21 on the back nine.
Tashi Tsering has won the best gross award with the gross score of 38 points finishing two points ahead of Lobsang Tashi. Tsering scored four birdies on third and ninth on the front nine and added two more birdies on 13th and 15th holes on back nine. He made bogies on first and 17th holes.
Sandhya Rai scored 25 points to win the women's category. Kalyani Moktan stood second with 23 points. Prajwalla SJB Rana won the best senior golfer award (age 60 and above) with 53 points under his belt. Sam Doublard scored 38 points to lift the best junior golfer (age 17 and under) trophy.
Toran JB Singh claimed closest to the pin award. Rene Vijay Einhaus got the longest drive and Sonam Norbu Lama got most birdies award with 4 birdies on the count back.
Altogether 84 players are competing in the tournament played under stableford format with ¾ handicap.
The series will feature three editions with top 10 nett scorers and top five gross scorers earning points. Player earning the highest point on gross and nett category after three events shall be declared Carlsberg Series Gross and Nett champions.
The second edition will be played on August 29 and the final series on October 3.
