KATHMANDU, Jan 7: A pedestrian was killed after being knocked by a microbus in Samakhushi in the capital today. Four others were injured in the incident.
Sita Dahal, 55, of Dhumbarahi, who was hit by the vehicle (Ba 1 Ja 9766) heading to Bauddha-Jorpati while crossing the road, breathed her last in course of treatment at local All Nepal Hospital, said the police.
The accident occurred at around 11:45 am. Four others injured--Sarita Adhikari, her husband Sushil Adhikari, Sapana Rai and a nurse for All Nepal Hospital, Laxmi Sapkota--are receiving treatment at the hospital, said the police. Of them, Sapkota is reported to be in serious condition. The police have taken under control the microbus and its driver Tanka Raj Karki. RSS
