"We have agreed to call off all the protests after the ministry signed a three-point agreement with us this (Wednesday) evening," said Pradip Poudel, president of Nepal Students´ Union.

According to the agreement, the ministry will not phase out PCL this academic year but will form a commission comprising representatives from student unions to suggest the ministry on creating conducive environment for gradual phase-out PCL and making Plus Two education affordable to all. For this, the unions will call off their ongoing protests, said Poudel.
