KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Nepali boxer Pawan Bhattarai faced defeat in the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships in St Petersburg, Russia in Sunday's late night bout.
Pawan was beaten by Nursultan Mamataly of Kyrgyzstan in the 60 kg event.
He was defeated on the basis of technical knockout in the second round according to Nepal Boxing Association's President Ram Awale.
Two Nepali boxers including Pawan and Santosh Rai participated in the championship that started from November 17.
Santosh has already crashed out from the competition after facing defeat on Friday.
