Patient jumps off second floor of Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital

MORANG, August 31:  A patient hailing from Gauriganj, Jhapa, who is undergoing treatment at Nobel hospital, Biratnagar, jumped off the second floor of the hospital on Wednesday morning.

MORANG, August 31:  A patient hailing from Gauriganj, Jhapa, who is undergoing treatment at Nobel hospital, Biratnagar, jumped off the second floor of the hospital on Wednesday morning.


According to Morang Police, 29 years old Ashish Luitel from Gauriganj Municipality-6 jumped off the second floor window of the hospital at quarter past 7 today.

After attempting the suicide, Luitel was re-admitted to the Nobel hospital for further treatment. The police have informed Republica that Luitel is in a serious condition and he has suffered several injuries from head to different parts of his body.


Initially, Luitel was admitted to the hospital for the treatment of a mental disorder on August 26. In addition to that, after preliminary investigation, Morang Police has stated that Luitel suddenly jumped off while his relatives were there and that the police have started further investigation into the case.
