Saroj Krishna Shrestha, legal counsel for Sandeep's side, informed Republica that the hearing will now proceed on appeals filed by Sandeep and the government.

He stated, "In certain instances, the High Court may choose not to conduct a hearing, concluding that there is no necessity. However, in this case, the court has summoned both parties. This indicates that the court has accepted the case. With this, the opportunity for a 'review' of the case has been opened in the court."

Shrestha said that the debate on the review of the district court’s judgment has officially commenced in the High Court.

The next hearing on the case is scheduled for April 15.
